A Year in Review

Posted on Sat, Dec 30, 2006, at 04:05 PM (5 comments)

2006 went by faster than 2005. My parents weren't kidding when they said each year goes by faster as we increase in age. I still remember being a kid on those long summer days when time just stood still. Well, those days are definitely over.

2006 MEMORABLE MOMENTS:

Birth of My Second Child - I don't think having 1 or 10 kids will ever change the amazing beauty and miracle of a new born baby. Our second daughter is a precious gift from God.

Listening to My Wife - Julie told me to try out for "The Apprentice" when we were hanging out at the mall. I was the only person at the casting call in blue jeans, no resume, and no entry bracelet. Everyone else was dressed to impress in pristine suits with briefcases and everything. My wife told me to ask the bouncers if I could try out and they said yes......I was the last person through the doors of the casting call and next thing you know.....I go through months and months of the selection process...and now, I'm on "The Apprentice." Wow, make sure you listen to your better half!

Launch of Zoodango - starting and launching a company is very challenging, and I'm so proud of everyone who's been involved with Zoodango. We've gone through days and weeks and months of crazy work hours; however, the fun is in the doing.

YouTube Selling for $1.6 Billion - when we look back in tech history, I think we will all remember how YouTube's acquisition created a renewed excitement, energy, and interest in the internet again.

Seattle Seahawks in the Superbowl - I've been a Seahawks fan since the Bozworth and Largent days. I was filled with so much anticipation and excitement to watch the game. We even hosted a Superbowl party, but the Hawks came up a bit short. My heart was broken, but what a memory it was to watch that game.

War in Iraq - I don't have family or close friends that fought in the war, but this national event was something that impacted all of our lives and hearts. I think we can all agree that peace is something we should always strive to achieve. War is ugly.

So many more......but let's get ready for a great 2007!

Alex from "The Apprentice" Season 3

I just had lunch with Alex Thomason, the Seattle Apprentice candidate from Season 3. He was 1 week away from making the finals on "The Apprentice." He represented Seattle well!

It was great meeting up and sharing stories. He's a very successful attorney at Stanislaw Ashbaugh. He sent me this funny picture titled "The Boardroom". Sounds like Alex is doing very well. He's happy, excited, and enjoying life. Thanks for lunch Alex!

The Apprentice premiers on January 7th, 9:30 (PST). I want to encourage everyone to watch the show. Tell your friends about the show and then tell them to sign up for Zoodango as well. In case you don't see me, I'm the asian guy behind Trump.

What's Your Passion?

Everyone has a unique passion. It could be sports, business, food, wine, and possibly cars. Well, I've got to tell you about this gentleman named Carlos Segura. First, he is a designer by trade.......one of most brilliant design minds I've ever seen. Absolutely incredible!

I've never met someone more passionate and knowledgeable about cars than this man. He loves cars! I'm talking about a man who has a commentary and story for every car on the road. He even predicts the personality of the owner of the car by evaluating the appearance of the car. It's the most hilarious thing because he's so accurate.

If you are curious, check out his site at www.cartype.com.
