My Life Story...
I'm looking to connect with everyone and especially anyone within the realm of the ARTS, ARTS EDUCATION, MUSEUM EDUCATION (art or history), or GENERAL EDUCATION.
My current career goal is to be an EDUCATION PROGRAM COORDINATOR/DIRECTOR; a position that allows for me to design and run programs that serve our youth while also interacting with professionals from the community who may want to contribute.

About My Job...
Seattle Public Schools Math Educator: I work with urban inner city 8th graders ranging from extremely low skills to students in Honors classes. I attempt to teach in a fashion that relates mathematics to a real context or connect the concept abstractly to important life skills. At the same time I follow the standards and make sure my students have a solid foundation of basic computational skills to solve problems required of them (especially of the WASL.)
Northwest Asian Weekly Summer Youth Leadership Program Lead Coordinator: I co-design an Asian-American focused program started by Assunta Ng to help high school youth understand the important and nonstereotypical roles that Asian-Americans have played in our society. We engage students in leadership projects, such as creating a program yearbook or t-shirt, or call in local celebrities, activists, and community leaders as guest speakers.
Seattle Center Academy of Arts and Sciences Mentor Supervisor: Once a student and a volunteer, I now provide guidence for high school youth working with students with special needs in the arts.
Amy Yee Tennis Center Tennis Instructor: For 7 years, I specialize in teaching tennis to youth ages 4 - 8, occasionally also training juniors.
Independent Photographer: I specialize in abstract fine arts photography (potentially with mixed media) and artistic photojournalistic children and events photography. I would describe my style as "natural, artistic, and photojournalistic" with spunky energetic splashes of color and contrast -- Perhaps matching my own personality. http://www.luiephoto.com
