My Life Story...
I grew up in Seattle with childhood dreams of becoming a painter or a ballerina. Soon these dreams gave way to others...architecture, medicine, consulting...but none of these seemed to fit or to last.
I have worked in career services, advising and encouraging students and alumni of Bryn Mawr & Haverford Colleges as they pursue their career paths. I've made nets used for research all over the world; worked in an externship with PricewaterhouseCoopers; served as the Executive Assistant to the President of an architecture firm; archived results from an archaelogical dig; tutored in Japanese; served food with a smile; and I'm currently finishing up my job of 5 years as a Patient Account Representative at an Obstetrics and Gynecology practice, where I specialize in coding and insurance.
Though many of my interests have changed over the years, there are two passions in my life that have not wavered in the last 12 years: Japanese culture and experiencing the love and grace of Jesus Christ!

About My Job...
That makes my new job as a Church Planting Associate with Asian Access a perfect fit. I'll be spending three years listening, learning, and soaking in the beautiful language and culture of Japan. At the same time I'll be working with a team of Japanese nationals in the grass roots church multiplication effort that is happening all over Japan!
But what am I most excited about? I'm excited to build new relationships with people in Japan. I want to hear their stories and share mine. There are many people who have all the material possessions they could ever want ,and yet they still have an incredible emptiness in their heart. Japan has one of the highest rates of suicide amongst developed nations. I would love to make a difference by sharing the peace and joy that I have found.
Right now I'm fundraising for my three years of living expenses in Japan. I've just surpassed my 60% mark, and my target for departure is the summer of 2007!
